SMOM Resources

A wealth of information collects as we continually try to provide support for each other. We've tried to present much of it here: Things we have learned from others, from ourselves, and, last but not least, from our children...

Materials available through the NOMOTC:

The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, our parent organization, offers members many informational resources. Our National Rep, Betsy Dupre, is familiar with all they have to offer if you need help researching a topic through NOMOTC.
NOMOTC also has their own members-only discussion board that you might find useful in reaching out to MOMs beyond our group.

The NOMOTC password is on the handout you get at the meeting, or you can email Betsy:

Lending Library

Changes abound at SMOMs...! We recently donated our entire lending library to the Scituate town library. There are many books on multiples now, and many better ways to borrow them than from our librarian's car trunk! What we'd like to do instead is share a recommended reading list, and have a book forum on our future online discussion board.

Borrow parenting and children's books through the amazingly convenient online Old Colony Library Network... here's how it works:
  • You browse for and reserve a book online from any of the 28 South Shore libraries; you specify which library you want to pick it up from, and they will email you when it's ready for pickup. No sweat!
  • Go to www.ocln.org and log in with your library card number, and password OCLN
Do contact SMOMs for back and current copies of TWINS Magazine, as well as TWINS Special Reports on premature twins and triplets, separating your multiples or keeping them together, and higher order multiples.
